It’s July and summer heat is raging across the country. Stay hydrated, stay cool and stay entertained with FilmRise’s free July streaming marathons all month long!

This month is especially exciting because we’re celebrating the 25th Anniversary of one of our tentpole titles, Forensic Files! We've compiled a binge-worthy marathon of the most shocking cases ever aired in a 25 Years of Forensic Files Marathon. Watch the burning summer hours pass by from your couch with the original true crime series starting July 9th.


If you’re not in the mood for classic true crime, we’re also offering an American Classics Marathon, featuring a selection of your favorite classic TV titles including That GirlHighway to HeavenThe Greatest American Hero and The Real McCoys. You can look forward to a Christmas in July Marathon, featuring a sleigh-full of beloved Christmas TV movies that will bring a welcome chill to the summer air. 


Finishing out the month, we’re airing howlingly good werewolf titles in our monthly Full Moon Madness Marathon, plus a star-studded Gold Medal Movies Marathon just in time for this summer’s big international games in Tokyo, featuring sports movies starring the likes of Samuel L. JacksonGillian AndersonFreddie Prinze, Jr. and more.

This 4th of July weekend, revisit some of the most iconic American TV shows ever made.

 Programming Highlights: 

  • That Girl (Season One) An aspiring actress (Marlo Thomas) moves from her hometown of Brewster, New York, to try to make it big in New York City, having to take several offbeat "temp" jobs to support herself in between her various auditions and bit parts.

  • Highway to Heaven (Season One) A probationary angel (Michael Landon), sent back to Earth, teams with an ex-cop to help people.

  • The Greatest American Hero (Season One) A teacher (William Katt) is asked to be a superhero using a special alien suit with powers he can barely understand or control.

  • The Real McCoys (Season One) From the hills of West Virginia, Amos McCoy moves his family to an inherited farm in California. Grandpa Amos is quick to give advice to his three grandchildren and wonders how his neighbors ever managed without him around.

  • A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES(TV Movie, 1987) Young Thomas is disappointed because it’s raining on Christmas Eve. But his spirits are soon lifted by his grandfather, who gives him a snow globe and recounts his own childhood Christmas memories.

  • THE ELF WHO DIDN'T BELIEVE (Movie, 2000) Young elf Elmer wants to become a real boy. He steals Santa's sleigh and escapes to the real world, where he meets a young girl who needs a heart transplant.

  • PETE'S CHRISTMAS (TV Movie, 2013) A put-upon teen finds himself reliving the same miserable Christmas day over and over again. Featuring Molly Parker (Deadwood).

  • SPRINTER (Drama, 2018) A boy separated from his mother who has moved to the U.S. for a better life, is set to be Jamaica's next track-and-field sensation. Starring David Alan Grier and Lorraine Toussaint; produced by Jada and Will Smith.
