(Brooklyn, NY | October 1, 2021) 25 years ago, there was a monumental event: the true crime classic Forensic Files first aired! Forensic Files is the longest-running and most iconic criminal investigative series of all time, having pioneered the true crime genre. The series is known for its fascinating cases, dramatic reenactments, and expert interviews and has endured its popularity with legions of fans.
This year, celebrate the 25th Anniversary with the brand-new hour-long Forensic Files 25th Anniversary Special, streaming for free exclusively on Pluto TV starting October 1st at 8 PM ET on Forensic Files Channel #370. The special will air through the month of October and is produced by Forensic Files co-creator Gary Lico.
Forensic Files 25th Anniversary Special pays tribute to Forensic Files by looking back at the show’s origin and its impact on TV, forensic science, crime solving, and the people who put the show together. It features never-before-seen interviews and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, plus in-depth “how we did it” recreations of hard-to-shoot cases, roundtable discussions, and a special tribute to late narrator Peter Thomas.
