Now with the demise of Locast and the loss of local broadcast channels, a new player is in the game: USTVNow. Well, they've been around for a long time, but USTVNow is now the only legit place to get all the major Broadcast networks.
There are different versions of USTVNow, depending on where you subscribe from, so here is a breakdown of the different options.
- US Viewers looking for Broadcast networks ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW, choose the first one in this list: USTVNow.
- Canadian viewers looking for CTV, CBC, City TV and TVO, choose the first one: USTV Now (TeleUp Canada + DVR plan). Canadians wishing to watch US and Canada channels will need to subscribe to two packages.
- The TeleUp Canada plan can be selected as a stand-alone option and does not require the USTVNow plan.
The USTVNow service was built for our troops and is enjoyed by patriots everywhere. Territorial content restrictions may apply. Our service is offered principally to a small number of American expats, state department, and military employees overseas.
TV shows that are available in high definition will play in 720p. Currently, the HD option is available for the following channels: ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, PBS, AMC, Animal Planet, Bravo, Discovery Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, FX, Fox News, Freeform, National Geographic, Paramount Network, Sundance, Syfy, TLC, and USA.
- The channel line-ups for both the dot-net and dot-com websites are identical, which one you choose would depend on which devices you are watching on. (See Editor's Note 2)

"USTVNow is now the only legit place to get all the major Broadcast networks." That's not true, the free site Puffer has the San Francisco feeds for the NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, Fox, and CW networks. https://puffer.stanford.edu/
ReplyDeleteExcellent point. Remember though, the free Puffer site is completely web-only (no apps), and would be limited to 500 connections at any given time. So, USTV Now is an attractive alternative, of course! -GB.
