âHollandâ (2025)
Picturesque doesnât always mean perfect. Set in the seemingly idyllic town of Holland, Michigan, the twisting, turning thriller film âHollandâ premieres Thursday, March 27, on Prime Video. Called âwildly unpredictableâ by Prime Video, the film follows Nancy Vandergroot (Nicole Kidman, âLionessâ), a teacher and homemaker living in the town modelled directly after its Dutch namesake â including fields of tulips, windmills, traditional dances and wooden shoes to tie the picture together. While Nancyâs life seems picture perfect, with her well-to-do husband, Fred (Matthew Macfadyen, âSuccessionâ), and adorable son, Harry (Jude Hill, âBelfast,â 2021), cracks begin to appear in her happy reality.Tumbling into the midst of a dark and twisted secret, Nancy teams up with her friendly colleague Dave (Gael Garcia Bernal, âMozart in the Jungleâ) to get to the bottom of their strange new reality. But the further they dig, the wilder their once-quiet lives become. From director Mimi Cave (âFresh,â 2022) and writer Andrew Sodroski (âManhuntâ), âHollandâ is produced by Kidman, Kate Churchill (âAll the Old Knives,â 2022), Peter Dealbert (âAftermath,â 2017) and Per Saari (âBig Little Liesâ).
