CELEBRATE WITH THE GOLDBERGS
The Film Detective is celebrating Passover this weekend with 15 episodes of The Goldbergs (1949-1957), starting at 12PM ET on Sunday, March 28.

Gertrude Berg's hit radio broadcast took over television throughout the 1940s and 1950s, bringing audiences all of the laughs and heartfelt moments from a Jewish family living in The Bronx.
Creator, writer, and actress Gertrude Berg was a pioneer in bringing the family sitcom to households in the 1950s, starring on the show as matriarch Molly Goldberg, "a woman with a place in every heart and a finger in every pie."
Berg would go on to be the first woman to win the Emmy Award for Lead Actress and later added a Tony Award to her long list of accolades.
As for The Goldbergs, the show found success of its own as an Emmy nominee in 1950 for Best Kinescope Show.
Fans of The Goldbergs would not be limited to radio and television; the beloved family would go on to appear on the silver screen, stage, and even as a Broadway musical.
